I earned my Juris Doctorate Law Degree, Cum Laude, from the Massachusetts School of Law in 2011. I opened my solo law practice in 2012, the Law Office of Becki A. Jacobson, LLC. I am licensed to practice in Connecticut and Massachusetts. Currently I am operating a virtual office within the state of Connecticut.
I am also licensed to practice in front of the First Circuit of Appeals, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Immigration Court (EOIR), the Massachusetts Federal Bankruptcy Court, and in the District Courts of both Massachusetts and Connecticut.
My practice focuses on immigration law in the areas of business, family, deportation, and appeals. Since opening my law practice, I have represented clients from over sixty different countries. I work annually with Congress to reform immigration law in Washington, D.C. and I travel to different detention centers and immigration courts around the country to represent my clients.
I am active in many professional organizations, including the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and and Starting Out Solo (SOL).
I believe in giving back to the community and offer pro bono and low bono legal services to children, low-income families, and to TBI survivors. During the recent travel bans, I donated my time at Logan Airport helping people enter the country from all over the world and held community events to educate the public on the constant changes to the immigration law policies. I also participate in many annual fundraisers for local charities.
